According to Director General Paul O’Sullivan of the ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organization) on May 22, 2008, with businesses and government units widely using the Internet, state agencies are presented with reasonably large opportunities to gain clandestine access to protected database.

The Doctor Web Company informed about a major virus in Vkontakte.ru, a social network. If anyone clicks on deti.jpg, an external link, then the personal information stored on computer could be lost, as reported by CNews on May 19, 2008.
The epidemic appeared due to a harmful network worm called Win32.HLLW.AntiDurov. The worm sends the link to snap, deti.jpg, which takes the resource of malefactor from infected system to Vkontakte.ru’s other users. Cyber Forensic Experts of the AP Forensic Science Laboratory (Andhra Pradesh, India) advised the web users that if they receive mails with the subject, "Osama Bin Laden hanged", then they should ignore and delete the mail, as per the reports of The Siasat Daily on May 22, 2008.
